Edition limited to 210 numbered copies, of which this is 140 printed on fine Rives wove paper. Folio. BEAUTIFULLY BOUND IN FULL MOROCCO BRIGHTLY DECORATED IN MOSAIC ON BOTH COVERS, DEPICTING CHARACTERS FROM VILLON'S POEMS. Top edge gilt, other edges uncut. Patterned endpapers. Tiny crack to upper joint, else FINE AND BRIGHT, INSIDE AND OUT. Laid in is the original prospectus, as well as a HANDWRITTEN CERTIFICATE FROM BARTA, dated September 20, 1932 and signed, declaring that he executed the mosaic decoration on the binding, that the binding is unique, and that the design will not be used again. A unique and utterly charming book.
