Paris, G. Masson, 1889. 8vo (21.5 x 13.6 cm). 234 pp.; four folded plates of which one coloured. Contemporaty half calf over marbled boards. Spine with five raised bands, compartments with gilt floral vignettes and gilt title. Edges speckled. = An attractively bound copy. written by the French mining engineer Albert Olry (1847-1913). The coloured plate contains four sections showing the presence of phosphate holding sand deposits near Beauval. The other plates show mining and refining equipment, designed by Desailly. Slight rubbing to the spine, remnant of a tiny label on the spine foot; otherwise a very good, clean copy. Rare.
