Descrizione
First edition of this sentimental tale by Maurras, with an additional unpublished poem. The author, a filthy anti-Semite who spent several years in prison after the war, wrote this book at the very end of his life, having returned to his hometown, at the edge of the Etang de Berre, to die. Illustrated with a beautiful frontispiece etching, by Jean Traynier, depicting the port of Martigues. Finely printed in hand-set Garamond Italic types. From a total edition of 187 copies, this is ONE OF ONLY THREE COPIES on Japon Imperial with a second proof of the etching on Japon mince. 4to, loose as issued in wraps, board folder, and slipcase. Uncut and unopened. Fine.
