Original printed wrappers. = A finely illustrated monograph of Actinaria (sea anemonies), written by the Italian zoologist Angelo Andres (1851-1934). with descriptions and illustrations of many species, and higher taxa, including several described as new. It includes two large lists of references of works on sea anemones from Aristotle up to 1882 and provides extensive synonymies. Uncut. A statement by another bookseller that there should be 14 plates is wrong: one plate is double-sized, but not double numbered. This copy is complete. Disbound from the academy's Atti.
