No marks or inscriptions. No creasing to covers or to spine. A very clean very tight copy with bright unmarked navy cloth boards, clear gilt lettering to front and spine, slightly dusty page edges, minor bump to top of spine, decorated end papers and no bumping to corners. Spine not faded or sunned A 44 page introduction plus 274pp. With five tales from the author's travels around Lancashire plus a Christmas story, including much Lancashire dialect plus frontispiece photograph of Edwin Waugh. Undated, ca 1890.
