Si distinse nei combattimenti aerei sopra la Manica e coste francesi e successivamente operò a terra in Bretagna dopo lo sbarco in Normandia. All'interno sono presenti otto tavole fotografiche un bozzetto e tre disegni di Turner. Dedica manoscritta all'occhietto e lunga poesia allegata. Legatura originale con sovracoperta conservata.
