A COMPLETE SET OF PROOFS AFTER CHARLES EISEN (etched by Tardieu, Alamet, and Le Mire), ON CHINE APPLIQUÉ. Eleven sheets (frontispiece plus ten plates), each with an etching on fine Chinese paper mounted on fine wove paper. This set is not to be confused with vastly inferior etchings made decades later after the same drawings. 8vo. OUTSTANDING IMPRESSIONS IN PERFECT CONDITION, with no defects. Of the greatest rarity: only a handful of such sets were printed, and I have been unable to locate another one that has survived complete.
