This is a very good hardcover copy in the publisher's original orange-stained vellum, gilt. Top page edge gilt, others untrimmed. Double page black & white illustrations taken from Botticelli's drawings in Berlin and Rome. The spine is faded, as usual. Very clean throughout. This is a limited edition of 1475 copies, this copy numbered 403. The orange vellum boards are ruled in gilt and have gilt designs front and back. The boards are not worn, just the spine sunned. Small private owner bookplate on inside front cover. 12" high X 8" wide. A handsome production by the incomparable Nonesuch Press. Large heavy book, foreign shipping will be extra.
