A number of textual illustrations in red or blue. 4to, handsomely bound by Root and Son in three-quarter red morocco over red cloth boards, the spine lettered and decorated in gilt within compartments of the spine, gilt ruling to the covers, top edge gilt, marbled end-leaves. xii, [1], 304 pp. A fine copy internally in attractive binding, the rear board requires reattachment and with some light rubbing to the extremities.
Edizione: a fine printing of this classic work with superb chromolithographic plates in colours. an important early reference on the classification of japanese pottery.
