First edition, 2 vols., xvi, 453, [1]; xv, 475, [1] pp., with half-titles, errata slips in both vols., closed tear on 2 H 4 of vol. I, front inner hinge of volume 1 broken, neat stamp to verso of titles, nineteenth century cloth-backed marbled boards, spines lettered in gilt, with the bookplates of J. B. and Michael Bury, a nice clean copy. This is the only account of a Grand Tour made by a Swiss gentleman from Geneva, writing in English. Pine-Coffin, 816/6.
