Bruxelles, sumptibus auctoris, 1888. Large 8vo. xxii, 723 pp. Contemporary half calf over marbled boards. Spine with five raised, gilt-bordered bands and red morocco label with gilt title. Marbled edges. = Important plant name catalogue by the Belgian botanist Théofile Alexis Durand (1855-1912), founded on the Genera Plantarum of J. Hooker, with 8349 plant names, addenda et emendanda and index. The binding, apparently made for the French botanist and priest Eduard Marçais (1847-1925) (name in gilt on spine foot), is quite pleasant. Light spotting to endpapers, otherwise very good, clean and unmarked.
