Tre parti in un volume (8x13,5 cm). La prima (Institutionum.) in due parti di (!6)-367 pp + 154-(6) pp. Primo frontespizio con cornice tipografica. La seconda parte (Leges XII) con data 1571 e marca tipografica. Terza parte: Tituli tractatusque iuris c. studio in primis necessarii. De origine iuris: et omnium magistratuum: & successione prudentium: de verborum significatione : &, de diuersis regulis iuris antiqui: annotationibus delectis illustrati. Dispositionem atque interpretationem . Apud I. Crespinum, 1571. Di (8)-195-(3) pagine. Numerose i interessanti glosse manoscritte d'epoca soprattutto alle pagine bianche e nei margini di alcune pagine. Una gora marginale esterna a circa un terzo del volume. Legatura in pergamena muta restaurata con risguardie moderne. Importante esemplare completo delle tre parti dell'opera del giurista e tipografo calvinista Jean Crespin in date rare. -”Crespin was born at Arras (c1520) and studied law at Leuven. In 1540 he was in Paris, where he worked with his friend François Baudouin under the leading jurist and advocate Charles Du Moulin, and became himself advocate at the Parlement of Paris. He became interested in the doctrines of the Reformed Church; and when he returned to Arras, his relations with the Protestants caused him to be treated as a heretic.In 1545 he went to Strasbourg, where he married. In 1548 he moved near his friend John Calvin; with his family he settled in Geneva, where he established a printing-press. In 1555 he received citizenship there.
