Richly engraved architectural title, engraved frontispiece portrait and dedication to Pope Clemente XIV, finely engraved intial and tail-piece, engraved illustrations to pages 18 and 20, and 55 other full-page finely engraved plates after Vignola's architectural renderings, collated complete. Large Quarto, bound in contemporary vellum backed marbled paper covered boards, the spine with calligraphed title. Engraved title-page, Frontispiece engraving, [6], xxviii, [2], 58, 4 plates + 40 plates + 11 plates pp. A very good copy indeed, the text-block and plates all crisp and unpressed and in very pleasing condition, the binding with some wear from use over the centuries.
