A LONG, UNPUBLISHED, and absolutely wonderful AUTOGRAPH POEM BY GEORGES ROUAULT, a meditation on the magic of daily life, children, parents, art, life, and death. 74 verses (divided into 14 stanzas on five leaves) in neat script. WITH THREE LEAVES OF ROUGH DRAFTS FOR THIS POEM, heavily edited. Eight leaves in all. 27.5 x 22 cm. In very good condition, with a few tiny marginal tears to leaves of drafts (no loss of text.) Although many artists of the School of Paris tried their hands at poetry, only Rouault succeeded. UNIQUE AND IMPORTANT.
