Henne (1), Nussbiegel (2), unsigned (3), and 4 engr. colored uniform plates by Daniel Berger (1), Johann Wilhelm Meil (1), 2 unsigned, 1 engr. colored map by Karl Jäck. (16) leaves, 72 pp., (6) leaves, 376 pp. 16mo. Orig. laquered boards, with gilt decoration, gilt edges. Berlin, Haude & Spener, (1788). Contains "Geschichte des siebenjährigen Krieges in Deutschland" by Johann Wilhelm von Archenholtz (1743-1812), his best-known historical work, aimed at a wide public and still a main source about this war, with lively descriptions of the battles and written with patriotic fervour. Further contained are notes on the 12 engravings with scenes pertaining to the seven years war, after Chodowiecki. The portraits are of Frederick II the Great, Kurt Christoph von Schwerin, Fr. Wilhelm von Seydlitz, Hans Joachim von Zieten, and Leopold Jos. Maria von Daun.
