Disbound but with original printed wrappers bound in front. = A well-illustrated monograph of the spectacular genus Exogyra (Bivalvia, Gryphaeidae), with the descriptions and illustrations of many new or poorly known species, and comparisons with other "modern" and extinct oyster-like bivalves. The author, the French army general Émile Jourdy (1845-1941) is not in 2400 Years of Malacology. Published in the Annales de Paléontologie (Marcellin Boule, editor), volume 12(III-IV). Stamp on front wrapper, small stamp on plate versos (not shining through), otherwise a very good, clean and complete copy. Rare.
