Jena, Gustav Fischer, 1931-35 [REPRINT 1963]. Two parts in two. Large 8vo (25.4 x 17.8 cm). 1,165 pp., 897 text figures. Later polished half calf over patterned boards. Spines with five raised bands and gilt title. = Important and influentual handbook on shells (not long ago an English translation was published). This is the good Amsterdam (A. Asher) reprint. A very good, clean set in a very unusual, attractive binding. The binding must have cost at least twice our asking price.
