Uniform original printed wrappers, the planches hors-texte 9maps) in matching printed portfolio. = An important contribution to the geology and palaeontology of a part of southern France. The atlas deals with the geology of the region, and the text includes the 49 plates are mostly palaeobotanical. The large, folded charts contain geological maps and profiles. The author, Pierre Vetter, founded a geology museum in the French coal town of Decazeville. Stamps removed from front wrappers and most maps, but still present on one map; tape to spines; otherwise very good, clean, and complete.
