Title page, [ii], 188 pp. Later stamped, protective wrappers. = This is the complete text by the German-Baltic geologist Otto Moritz Ludwig Von Engelhardt (1779-1842) and the German geologist Karl Ludwig Georg von Raumer (1783-1865) of their effort to create (new) geological maps of France, England, and Scotland. It includes a detailed description of collection of the École des Mines in Paris. It does not include the map promised on the title page. Probably rare. Not in Ward & Carozzi.
