This catalog was prepared to accompany the exhibition of the development of wardrobe during the 20th century at the Musee de la Mode et du Textile from May 19, 1999 through the summer of 2000. The exhibition showed the wardrobes of many well-known individuals, mostly women, for example, Carmen de Beistegui, Nadia Boulanger, Denise Boulet-Poiret, Marthe Cosse, etc. Hundreds of illustrations, most in color.
