Strasbourg, Société du Muséum d'histoire Naturelle de Strasbourg, [1835]. 4to (28.9 x 22.5 cm). 36 pp.; three lithographed plates of which one finely hand-coloured. Contemporary marbled boards. = A detailed study with mant data on the anatomy and osteology, but also with a fine full colour plate of living specimens, including one new genus, Amphisorex, and a new species. The latter is regarded as a junior synonym, but the genus is still in use. Old owner's inscription on front board verso, dated [18]62. Front board detached, otherwise a very good copy. Rare. Not in Nissen ZBI.
