Königsberg, Universitäts-Buchhandlung, [1846-]1848. Large, thick 8vo (25.7 x 16.1 cm). 57 pp.; 241 lithographed plates of which 20 partly hand-coloured. Early 20th-century half morocco over patterned boards. Gilt title on the spine. Marbled endpapers. = This edition, of a work that is principally an atlas, has the largest amount of plates. In this copy, the first twenty have fine hand-colouring. There seems to be an uncoloured, and a fully coloured edition too. All are rare to very rare. The colouring is very good. Some text pages spotted, but the plates nearly all clean. A very good copy, in a peculiar but attractive binding. Nissen BBI, 1231; Stafleu and Cowan, 4983.
