Title pages, viii, 404 pp.; 40 fine, large, double-sized lithographed plates (of which one in beautiful chromolithography and many tinted), with explanatory text leaves. Original printed wrappers. = Important monograph on ostracod crustaceans of the Mediterranean Sea. The plates are morphological, and anatomical. Author is the German zoologist and - for a long time - leading ostracod specialist Christian Gustav Wilhelm Müller (1857-1940). He also wrote the ostracod parts of the Siboga-Expedition and of Die deutschen Sud-Polar Expedition. Uncut. Slight wear to wrapper edges; a few small, marginal spots, otherwise a fine, clean copy.
