Original printed wrappers. = Rare and important monograph of the Mediterranean shrimps by the Italian zoologist and crustacean specialist Antonio della Valle (1850-1935). It forms the complete 20th monograph in the series Fauna und Flora des Golfes von Neapel und der angrenzenden Meeres-Abschnitte herausgegeben von der zoologischen Station zu Neapel. The species covered show a wide variaty in shape and colour. New genus and species level taxa are included. Uncut. Some light wear to wrapper edges. Binding of the plate volume weak; slight bump to top inner corner; a few, small, marginal spots but text leaves and plates generally clean. A very good copy. Nissen ZBI, 4632.
