With 61 of Ms. Barton's colour paintings depicting charming scenes of typical people and places throughout the city of London at the turn of the century. 8vo, publisher's original claret cloth, gilt lettered and ornately decorated on the spine and the upper cover with red roses with graceful stems and green leaves. xii, 208, 2 ads, pp. A handsome copy of this wonderfully illustrated work, internally clean, with virtually none of the inevitable spotting but for some at the prelims and slightly to the edges, the attractive cloth binding in pleasing condition with just a small bump.
