Original printed wrappers. = A seldom-seen, well-illustrated monograph of the acarid genus Notoedres, by the Dutch entomologist Anthonie Cornelis Oudemans (1858-1943), leading acarologist during the first half of the 20th century. He published nearly 600 works, the number of new taxa described (from species to families, and higher levels) is immense, and he is renowned for his historical-taxonomical reviews in which he identified and stabilized the names of thousands of acarids described by authors from Linnaeus (and even from non-binominal authors who published before the 10th edition of the Systema natura) to the end of the 19th century. Published as Archives Néerlandaises Volume IV(2). Uncut. A very good, unmarked copy.
