Half-title, title page, xxiv, 367 pp.; with a nice engraved text vignette showing two putti with scientific instruments and two engravings in a good photocopy on old paper with fleur de lis watermarks. Contemporary red boards. with gilt title, vignettes and arabesques on the spine. Yellow edges. = A classic work on hygrometry containing the description of the modern hygrometer which was invented by Saussure, the same author of the famous "Voyages dans les Alpes". Apart from the photostat a fine copy. The binding is definitely most attractive.
