Original printed wrappers bound in. = Important contribution to the promotion of airships as means of transport of people and cargo, by the German general and engineer Ferdinand Adolf Heinrich August Graf von Zeppelin (1838-1917). His importance in the development of airships was such that his name became practically synonymous with airships, in particular the large, more elongate models with a stiff frame. "Up until 1914 the German Aviation Association (Deutsche Luftschiffahrtsgesellschaft or DELAG) transported 37,250 people on over 1,600 flights without an incident. Within a few years the zeppelin revolution began creating the age of air transportation" (Wikipedia). Publisher's stamp on title verso partly erased, otherwise a very good, clean copy.
