Spine with morocco label with gilt title. = A nice copy of the rare first edition of this authorative and well-illustrated book on mineralogy and in particular gemology by the German mineralogist and professor at the Universities of Königsberg and Marburg, Max Hermann Bauer (1844-1917). Showing raw and cut minerals. This work went through several editions. Rebacked. Very light, marginal spotting to the endpapers and frontispiece, otherwise a very good, clean and unmarked copy.
