Somewhat later half linen over marbled boards. Gilt title on the spine. = Both works deal with the geology of the mountains transitional between the Alps and Apennines, in northern Italy and the Ligurian and Tyrrhenian Sea. Two very uncommon works, forming a consolidated offprint from the Gesellschaft's Abhandlungen. Well-illustrated. A few light pencil annotations, but no other markings. a well-bound copy.
