In half cloth portfolio with printed boards. = A seldom-seen fine, large atlas with plates printed in sepia. the author and illustrator, Johannes Govertus De Man (1850-1930) was a Dutch biologist, and nematode and Crustacea specialist. Most species figured were described and named by him. First published in 1884, together with a text volume. This is a "Gekürzte Ausgabe", without the text. Nonetheless it contains all the plates. Small stamp on the front board and first plate verso; some light foxing, otherwise a very good, clean copy. Nissen ZBI, 2666.
