Original printed wrappers. = Although published in a palaeontological journal this monographs deals a lot with extant species of turtles with a soft shell. Karl Hummel (1889-1945) was a German palaeontologist and herpetologist. Rare. there are no other copies on the internet. This is Geogische und Palaeontologische Abhandlungen Neue Folge 16, Heft 5. Uncut. Date 18.03.1929 (publishing date?) in pencil in the top margin of the front wrapper. Wrappers detached and torn at lower half of the spine; otherwise a very good, clean and unmarked copy.
