Burgundy leatherette with gilt title on the spine. = This paper, written by the Austrian geologist and Darwinist Melchior Neumayr (1845-1890), deals with a Jurassic fauna and includes the description and illustration of new and little known species of ammonites. Offprint from the series, "Abhandlungen der Kaiserliche-Königliche Geologische Reichsanstalt". Library stamp on title and on the bottom of the plates of the "Laboratoire de Géologie de la Sorbonne, Paris". Light, mostly marginal foxing, one explanatory leaf with a small hole, otherwise a good clean copy in a good, strong binding.
