Bonn, Henry und Cohen, 1843. 8vo (22.0 x 13.6 cm). iv, 29 pp. Original printed wrappers. = A very rare treatise on the origin of the earth, by the famous German geologist Johann [Jacob] Nöggerath (1788-1877) who also published, e.g., Gebirge in Rheinland-Westphalen nach mineralogischen und chemischen Bezug. We have never seen a copy before. Neither are there any auction records. Some light, marginal spotting, a few small chips and a short tear in the front wrapper; otherwise a very good copy. Poggendorff 2, pp. 292-294. Not in Ward & Carozzi.
