First edition of these two prose versions of the Sept Sages. With an important introduction by Gaston Paris. Published by the Societe des Anciens Textes Francais. One of 100 large-paper copies beautifully printed on fine Whatman wove paper. This copy was printed for Alfred Didot. Large 8vo, quarter morocco over decorated boards, all edges beautifully marbled. Light wear to extremities, spine sunned. Else fine. Bossuat 1399; Woledge p. 115.
