Shanghai, Shanghai Science Institute, 1934. Large 8vo (25.2 x 18.6 cm). 236 pp., one folded map, six plates. Contemporary half cloth over marbled boards. Gilt title on the spine. = An excellent monograph with good illustrations of new and poorly known species. Contains a 40 pp. bibliography of Chinese fresh-water fishes, and a gazetteer of China and Manchuria in Chinese and Latin alphabet. This is a separate print of the Institute's Journal, section III(1), with in front one small, unrelated paper. Stamp on title page, otherwise very good, clean. Rare.
