First edition, large 8vo, 11, [1]p., printed in double-column, presentation inscription from the author to Dr. Hawkins, paper wrappers, spine re-newed. The author was surgeon-dentist to Kingís College Hospital, and was later elected an honorary fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England. He was also one of the chief founders in 1856 of the Odontological Society and in 1858 of the Dental Hospital. JISC locates the BL copy only.
