Title pages to the Series and to the Atlas separately; ten lithographed plates, including one double-sized, folded, with geological profiles; all with accompanying descriptive text leaves. Original quarter cloth over printed boards. = Includes descriptions and fine illustrations of numerous new and poorly known but often well preserved Mesozoic (Triassic) bivalves and ammonites. The author, the German palaeontologist Carl Wilhelm Franz von Branca (1844-1928) published under the name Branco for a while. This is Abhandlungen zur geologischen Spezialkarte von Elsass-Lothringen, Band II, Heft I. Uncut. Boards worn at edges; otherwise a very good, clean, unmarked copy.
