This is a very good hardcover copy in a very good dust jacket. It has been de-accessioned from an English private library, and bears their bookplate inside the front cover, withdrawal stamp on the bookplate, and two very small handstamps, one on the lower edge of the front endpaper the other on the lower edge of the inside back cover. Text and plates quite clean and free of marks or soil. The dust jacket looks very good, just a little wear to the spine tips, otherwise fine. This is the yearbook with the large black & white photograph of Jacobsen's "Egg Chair" on the front cover, with the words "decorative art 50". Light soil to back cover of jacket. Now in protective clear acetate cover. As usual illustrated in color and black & white, with sections on architecture (houses & apartments) furniture, textiles, tableware, light fittings, ceramics and metals and glass. Text in English, French, German and Italian. The introduction and paragraphs that start each chapter are in four languages. The captions for each object are in English only. This is one of the best and most sought after volumes in the series. Large 4to, 11" high X 9" wide, 172 pages. The marks are actually not very intrusive, so a very nice copy, in the scarce jacket. This book will be securely wrapped and packed in a sturdy box and shipped with tracking.
