Contemporary marbled wrappers. = Written by the German botanist and medical doctor Johann (on the title Joannes, in Latin) August Christian Röper (or Roeper) (1801-1885). This copy with the often lacking plate, "Positio relativa florum in Imatiente, Balsamina Hydroceraque", dated 1833, as mentioned by Stafleu and Cowan. Some, mostly marginal foxing throughout.
