First edition of this important Provencal chanson de geste, found in a unique manuscript in the Didot collection. Published by the Societe des Anciens Textes Francais. One of 100 large-paper copies beautifully printed on fine Whatman wove paper. This copy was printed for Alfred Didot. Large 8vo, quarter morocco over decorated boards, all edges beautifully marbled. One corner of upper board scraped, spine sunned. Else fine. Gautier 1200.
