Engraved head-pieces at the beginning of each book. Two plates in the end, both entitled: “Tabula geographica specialis locorum de quibus apud Caesarem fit mentio. 1810”. ONE OF THE MANY EDITIONS OF THIS POPULAR CLASSIC WORK BY GIULIO CESARE ISSUED IN LYON IN THE NINETEENTH CENTURY. The Edithor of this work should be the Jesuit Father Jean Nicolas Loriquet, a French theologian and historian (1760 - 1845). A.M.D.G. (= Ad maiorem Dei gloriam or ad majorem Dei gloriam) is the Latin motto of the Society of Jesus (Jesuits), a religious order of the Catholic Church. It means "For the greater glory of God".
