Light rubbing to spine ends and with gilt lettering on spine a bit faded. Former owner's name on front pastedown. Hinges with a tiny bit of play. Rear 50 pages have a hint of waterstaining. ; In light brown cloth boards and 1788 on the front board, indicating that this is the first printing with a later issue binding (one of 3 variants). Under the Work Progress Administration famous writers went back to work on a steady paycheck.
