Leipzig, 1905. 8vo (22.0 x 15.0 cm). Nine pp., two large text engravings. Contemporary blind black quarter cloth over marbled boards. Original printed wrapper mounted on the front board. = Rare. Deals with the taxonomy of various turtles and tortoises. Published as number 28 in the series Mitteilungen of the Königliche Naturalien-Kabinet in Stuttgart, and an offprint from the Zoologische Anzeiger. Small, private owner's stamp in the top margin of the title page; Third Reich stamp on front pastedown, former private owner's stamp in the margin of the title leaf, otherwise a very good, clean copy.
