Anvers, Société Royale de Zoologie d'Anvers, 1909-1914. Five volumes in five. 8vo (21.5 x 15.0 cm). 595 pp. [212;80;82;136;85]; one plate with four portraits. Original uniform printed wrappers. = Written by the Belgian entomologist, palaeontologist and curator of the Antwerp Zoo, Fernand Anatole Meunier (1868-1926). The frontispiece plate shows all four (former) directors of the Antwerp Zoo. The work unumerates all animals belonging to the Belgian fauna, as well as all minerals found in that country. Small library stamp on front wrappers; oval, printed labels on title page versos. Rear wrapper of the last volume a bit shorter, and preceding leaves a bit chipped and frayed. Otherwise a very good, clean set. A seldom-seen complete set. Even individual parts are rare.
