Almost every French département had its own keen malacologist tackling the local malacofauna. This one, dealing with the département Lozère, north of Montpellier, written by Jacques Sébastien François Léonce Marie Paul Fagot (1842-1908) and Gaston de Malafosse (1849-1895). In total 85 species are treated. Offprint from the society's Bulletin. Provenance: stamp of the American malacologist Richard Irwin Johnson (1925-2020) in the top margin of the wrappers. Scarce.
