8vo (226 x 135 mm), xxxi, 175pp., later half calf, spine bands ruled in gilt, second compartment lettered direct, a nice copy. Auction catalogue of Sauvageotís library, 1691 lots sold over 10 days in December 1860. Sauvageot (1781-1860) was a violinist and collector of French medieval and renaissance works of art which he donated to the Louvre. Le Roux de Lincyís preface gives an account of his life and describes some of the highlights in the sale which included manuscripts and important early works of French literature and history, especially the history of Paris.
