Written by the German malacologist Heinrich Conrad Weinkauff (1818-1886). Provenance: inscribed in the top margin of the front wrapper by the leading Conidae specialist of the second half of the 20th, and early years of the 21st century, Alan Jacob Kohn (1931-2022). Uncut. Spine and rear wrapper outer corner reinforced with Japanese paper, pages with scattered foxing; otherwise a very good copy.
