Descrizione
The Netherlands, ca. 1880. A silver miniature "book" (5.0 x 2.6 x 0.9 cm). = Dutch silver tinderbox in the shape of a book, made in the 19th century. The "book" has a round "spine" with four raised bands; the "panels" are vertically engraved with thin lines, and the "fore edge" is hollowed. The top edge can be opened. Dutch tinderboxes are usually made of tin. Silver pieces are much rarer.
