[7], 8-104 pages. Forest green publisher's cloth handsomely adorned in black and gilt with beautiful colour illustration affixed to front. No indication of any prior editions. 6" x 4.5". Apparently written for younger readers. Discusses where to find birds of paradise, preparing birds for sale, and sections on the Parrot, Malacca Parrakeet, Ringed Parrakeet, Cockatoo, Trogon, Bell-Bird, and more. What appears to be the color frontispiece illustration is loose but present. Three addiional colour plates are loose but included. We do not know if others are missing so offer this copy as is. Prior owner's name, dated 1884, atop table of contents. Front hinge open. Despite its deficiencies, an attractive and charming vintage ornithological item. Book
